Cherries teammates set to face each other for nations: International round up

Alex Scott was rewarded for his excellent start to the Premier League season with his first senior England call up – and he could meet Serbians Djordje Petrovic and Veljko Milosavljevic.

The Three Lions host Serbia at Wembley on Thursday night in a World Cup qualifier, with England’s spot at next summer’s finals confirmed.

Serbia, though, will need three points as they aim to overcome Albania in second in group K to be in with a chance of featuring at the World Cup.

That is the first fixture for both sides of the window, with England then going on to face Albania away from home on Sunday, November 16.

Serbia host Latvia, also on Sunday, in what could be a must-win game for their World Cup aspirations.

Scotland also have a big two weeks in the context of their qualifying campaign, with Ryan Christie and Ben Gannon-Doak both set to be involved.

Steve Clarke’s side currently sit second in their group, level on points with Denmark after four games.

They travel to Greece on Saturday, November 15, before then hosting the Danes on Tuesday, November 18 in their final two games of qualifying.

Wales have it all to do in their final two games of qualifying, as they trail North Macedonia in second by three points, although they do have a game in hand.

David Brooks is a part of the squad to take on Liechtenstein on Saturday, November 15, before they then take on the second-placed side on Tuesday, November 18.

They must win both those games if they are to move up into second, with six goals currently separating the two sides on goal difference.

Unbeaten Netherlands also have two World Cup qualifiers this break, with the Oranje having won five and drawn one of their six games so far, with a goal difference of +19.

Justin Kluivert is the in the squad with Netherlands set to face Poland on Friday, November 14 and then Lithuania on Monday, November 17.

Junior Kroupi and Alex Jimenez are both in Euros qualification action with the France and Spain U21s.

Kroupi’s France will first face Switzerland on Friday, November 14, before hosting the Faroe Islands on Monday, November 17.

Jimenez’s Spain host San Marino on Friday, before they travel to Romania on Tuesday, November 18.

Marcos Senesi and Antoine Semenyo are set to be in friendly action over the break.

Senesi’s Argentina have just one game, when they travel to Angola on Friday, November 14, but they will be training in Alicante until Sunday, November 16.

Finally, Semenyo’s Ghana are in Asia for the break, which will see them take on Japan on Friday, before meeting South Korea on Tuesday, November 18.
