A strong defensive performance and fourth-quarter touchdown from Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith helped the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers, 10-7, Monday night at Lambeau Field.
The 36-yard score by Smith was set up by a massive catch and run by Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
Barkley made a player miss and took it 41 yards to the Green Bay 36-yard line on third-and-seven when Philadelphia was desperate for offense.
Philadelphia's defense had a huge night, limiting Green Bay's offense to one touchdown
Trade deadline acquisition Jaelan Phillips made an immediate impact on the Eagles' defense. He had a fumble recovery, six tackles and two quarterback hits. In the fourth quarter on fourth-and-one with less than two minutes left, Phillips made a massive tackle on Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs that led to a fumble, which was recovered by safety Reed Blankenship.
Eagles All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson exited the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury, but returned late in the game.
Jake Elliott booted in a 39-yard field goal in the third quarter.
The Eagles are now 7-2 and will face the Detroit Lions in Week 11 Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
