Suns guard Grayson Allen scored a new career-high and broke the franchise single-game record for made 3-pointers in a 121-98 win over the Pelicans on Monday.
Allen finished with 42 points on 12-for-17 shooting, including shooting 10-for-15 from 3 in 28 minutes. Allen added four assists, three steals, two rebounds and shot 8-for-10 at the line.

Allen also tied Aaron Gordon for the most 3s in a game this season. Gordon hit 10 versus the Warriors on Oct. 23.
Allen is having a career-year and is averaging a career-high 18.6 points per game. He has and is up to 13.6 after Monday.
He is also shooting 43.8% from 3, and on Monday moved into a tie with Tyrese Maxey for the most games with at least four made 3s this season (seven).
The Suns’ previous franchise record for 3-pointers made in a game was nine, set by seven different players, including Allen (who did it three times), Channing Frye, Aron Baynes, Landry Shamet, Cam Johnson, Quentin Richardson and Rex Chapman.
Allen’s previous career-high for points was set during his rookie season when he had 40 in an overtime loss against the Clippers while playing for the Jazz in 2019.
With the Suns up by 25, Allen checked out of the game for the final time at the 8:40 mark to a standing ovation.
With the win, the Suns improved to 6-5 on the season and 5-1 in their last six games.
