Yasin Ayari says clean sheets have become “a big topic” for [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au).
Now he hopes they have set the standard for busy weeks which lie ahead after the international break.
Back-to-back shut-outs against Leeds and Crystal Palace have featured good saves by Bart Verbruggen but have been put down to an all-round team effort.
Ayari dug in when needed to as Albion emulated AEK Larnaca and Sunderland in keeping Palace out on their own pitch this season.
The Sweden midfielder said: “We have two clean sheets in a row and wanted to make it two wins in a row with two clean sheets.
“Now we just need to build on that and this period that is coming up in December is an important one with a lot of games and the table can change quickly.
“We’re good, we're progressing. We're developing every day, every game.
“I think you can see that now we're starting to get the clean sheets we needed.
“It’s a big topic for us because it's easier to win games if we don't concede.
“I think we just need to keep going like that and I think we will be all right.”
Ayari highlighted how Albion kept the door locked and said he enjoyed the fact they had plenty of possession.
He told The Argus: “It was good. It was fun to play.
“We had a lot of ball, a lot of possession so we controlled the game a lot.
“What they are good at is counter-attacks and we were good in making sure they didn't get there with the possession we had.
“And, if we lost the ball, we took it back directly.
“Either we took it back or gave them a free kick.
“I'm pleased with the clean sheet. But, of course, disappointed we didn’t get the three points that we wanted.
“I think we deserved to get them because we controlled the most part of the game.
“They had, I think, one counter-attack when we lost the ball in the second half, like the biggest chance.
“Other than that, I think we controlled the game and had the biggest chances.”
