Nicolo Savona joined Nottingham Forest from Juventus late in the summer window.
The defender struggled in his first few games, but is now becoming an important part of the side. He scored in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United, and also started against Leeds United and Bournemouth.
The 22-year-old has now spoken to [Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Juventus/11-11-2025/nicolo-savona-intervista.shtml) about his time at Nottingham Forest so far.
He made it clear that the Premier League is more fun than he initially thought.
_“It’s even more beautiful. There’s a completely different style than in Italy and a special, unique atmosphere._
_“In England, there’s less tactics and more intensity, it’s a constant back and forth. Anything can happen at any moment. Serie A remains a difficult and important championship, a great tournament: last season was crucial for my growth.”_
Happy with Nottingham Forest decision

The right-back was also asked about his goal against Manchester United.
He responded: _“I watched it several times in the following days. It was an incredible feeling to score against Manchester United at home, in front of our fans and my family._
_“I felt on cloud nine, what thrills. If it had been the winning goal, it would have been even more important, but in the end we drew 2-2.”_
When asked about leaving Juve and the possibility of returning in the future, Savona said: _“In football, as in life, sometimes you have to make choices: I’m happy with mine. I thank my family and my agent Michele Puglisi for their support.”_
The Italian also appeared to recommend other players move to England. This came when he was asked about Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz and Premier League links.
_“I would recommend the Premier League to all the kids who love football, it would be difficult to say otherwise. So also to Kenan \[Yildiz\] and any of his teammates.”_
Despite initial difficulty, Savona has settled in well at Nottingham Forest.
Regular game time has helped, as Sean Dyche seems to trust him more. He has already played over 400 minutes under the manager.
Savona has shown at Juve that he’s quite versatile. As well as playing at right-back, he also played at centre-back and left-back.
This can prove important to Nottingham Forest.
