Anthony Gordon has had a pretty good start to the season for Newcastle United.
He’s yet to score or assist in the Premier League. However, in the Champions League he has four goals and an assist.
In what will be a nice boost for the player’s confidence, Nottingham Forest’s Nicolo Savona has told the Italian media about his admiration for the attacker.
The Italian has spoken to Gazzetta dello Sport and was asked who has most impressed him since he moved to the Premier League.
In response, the Nottingham Forest player said: “Anthony Gordon from Newcastle. [He is] Technically gifted and incredibly quick in his first steps.”

Savona came face to face with Gordon last month at St James’ Park. The Newcastle United man was kept largely quiet, as he completed just one dribble.
Despite that, Gordon clearly made a mark on Savona, and is the best he’s faced so far.
The Nottingham Forest player is having a great time generally since moving to the Premier League. As part of the interview he encouraged others in Serie A to consider the switch to English football.
