€50m allocated for January – Yet club only want to loan Liverpool player

Federico Chiesa has proven himself useful at Liverpool this season. Despite this, his future at Anfield remains uncertain as Arne Slot clearly isn’t fully convinced.

The Italian has two goals and three assists in all competitions, while playing 344 minutes, yet a January exit from Liverpool could be on the cards for the winger.

Il Mattino – relayed by Sportmediaset, cover Napoli interest in the 28-year-old.

The Italian side want to improve in the wide areas. Antonio Conte could be handed a transfer kitty worth €50m and Chiesa is emerging as an option.

Everything would depend on Liverpool’s stance. If the Reds open up to a loan exit, Napoli will make an attempt to sign him. Since the Italian side also have other areas to address, only a loan would be possible for Chiesa.

Conte believes that a player like Chiesa would help him permanently switch to a 3-5-2 system.

The winger has played as a wing-back during his time at Juventus and Fiorentina.

With the World Cup coming up, game time can prove very important to Chiesa.

Should Liverpool truly be open to a January exit, they may prefer some of that €50m kitty to a loan deal.
