Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has been called up to the England squad to replace Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to BBC Sport.
England are preparing to face Serbia in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday, before also playing Albania during the international break. Although they've already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, Thomas Tuchel will be trying to figure out who's going to be sitting on the plane heading to the tournament.
Chalobah earned his first call-up to the England squad back in May under Tuchel, but he wasn't involved when the former Chelsea manager named his side last week. The Chelsea centre-back then made his debut in a defeat to Senegal, but he's yet to add to his single cap for his country.

According to BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Chelsea centre-back Chalobah is set to join up with the England squad as a replacement for Guehi, who has withdrawn due to injury. Chalobah wasn't involved during the international break in September, nor was he named in Tuchel's initial squad, which he named last week ahead of two games against Serbia and Albania in World Cup qualifying.
Tuchel knows Chalobah well from his time at Stamford Bridge, giving him his debut for Chelsea back in 2021. Chalobah has been a regular for Chelsea this season, and he might have felt unfortunate not to have been called up initially, especially considering his relationship with Tuchel.
For any England player, it's imperative that they get involved in Tuchel's plans right now, with the national team only having a few games before the manager needs to make a decision on his squad for the World Cup. Tuchel will undoubtedly take club form into account, but he will want his players involved in the squad for their next games if they are to play a part in the tournament.
Chalobah will now be competing with Dan Burn, Ezri Konsa, Jarell Quansah, and John Stones for a starting place in the England starting XI for their game against Serbia on Thursday. Tuchel could hand a debut to Alex Scott of Bournemouth, who has earned his first call-up to the squad after impressing during his time with England U21s.
