“Did POTUS Just Roast His Old Quarterback?”: NFL Fans Disect Donald Trump’s Comments Revealing…

NFL fans are making jokes about President Donald Trump recalling his football days at the New York Military Academy. During his brief interview with Fox Sports at the Lions-Commanders game over the weekend, the POTUS stated that he used to play as tight end back in the academy, but also seemed to throw shade at his former signal-caller by saying he had a weak arm.

“I played tight end, but I meant I was not quite football like this…we had a quarterback who didn’t have a very strong arm. I would say 10 yards was a long pass.”PresidentDonald Trump said.

“Did @POTUS just roast his old quarterback while reminiscing about his football days?”onefanjoked.

“Football may have been different back then, but it’s clear the spirit of the game has always been strong.”anotherfan pointed out.

“Hahah I didn’t know this about him! So cool!”yet anotherfan reacted.

President Donald Trump was not only in attendance at the game but also managed to lead the enlistment ceremony for many new military members. The POTUS additionally took part in some play-by-play commentary during the game. However, not everything was so peppy and lively for President Trump since he was welcomed to the stadium by boos and jeers by the majority of the crowd.

“How many touchdowns did you have. ‘I don’t think any’. (laughing with tears emoji) I love President Trump’s honesty.”One morefan said.

While many fans have been reacting positively to President Trump’s appearance at the Lions-Commanders game, not everyone wears a MAGA hat. A large percentage of fans were frustrated that the POTUS decided to give importance to a football game, especially when the government is facing one of the longest shutdowns in the nation’s history.
