Everyone is flocking to Hill Dickinson Stadium this season, and now Everton legend Wayne Rooney has spilled the beans on his latest trip to Merseyside.
After opening its doors this season, Hill Dickinson is the talk of the Premier League. The state-of-the-art venue is Everton’s shiny new home after 133 years at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have had a good start to life here, too, with just one defeat at home this season. They added to that impressive record at the weekend by beating Fulham rather comprehensively.
Wayne Rooney watched that game and had plenty to say about the performance, having been particularly impressed by Jordan Pickford. Now, he’s had his say on the stadium.

Wayne Rooney is a fan of Everton’s new stadium
Speaking on The Overlap after this weekend’s game, Wayne Rooney explained how he felt being at the new ground and it sounds like he’s a big fan of Hill Dickinson already.
He said: “Yeah, I did a match of the day last night, some good games, actually. I went to the Everton game on Saturday, took my youngest boy, to watch Everton. They played well, it was a good win, so it was nice.
“I was in the posh seats. But no, we got out there and walked out, and the stadium was brilliant.”
With the Everton players performing so well, the atmosphere pumping, and everyone leaving the ground happy, it’s not surprising Rooney enjoyed himself this weekend.
