Fulham are weighing up the future of head coach Marco Silva after the west Londoners have fallen to within a point of the Premier League's relegation zone and he has not been convinced to sign a new long-term contract at Craven Cottage, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
The Cottagers were consigned to a 2-0 defeat by Everton last weekend, thanks to goals from Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and they have been limited to three top flight victories in 11 fixtures this season.
Silva's Role Being Considered Amid Internal Tensions

Fulham are considering Silva's future in the hot-seat, according to GMS sources, after tensions have been mounting due to finding themselves in danger of being dragged into battle to maintain their Premier League status following an underwhelming start to the campaign.
The Portuguese tactician has a release clause in the region of £15million written into his contract and attracted interest from domestic counterparts Nottingham Forest when they axed Ange Postecoglou last month, only to turn their attention towards appointing Sean Dyche as the Greek-Australian's successor.
GMS sources have been informed that Fulham's preference has been to tie Silva down to fresh terms since the summer, but he has been reluctant to put pen-to-paper and that has resulted in him being on course to walk away as a free agent at the end of the season.
The 48-year-old has been at the Cottagers' helm since July 2021 and, having clinched the Championship title in a free-scoring first term which saw his side find the back of the net 106 times, they have remained in the Premier League at the same time as threatening to challenge for European qualification.
Fulham are not rushing into making a decision on whether to sack Silva, GMS sources have been told, but vice-chairman Tony Khan and other influential figures behind the scenes are contemplating whether to act after they have dropped to within touching distance of the relegation zone.
