Spanish winger reveals future Barcelona aspirations – ‘Would be a dream come true’

Deportivo La Coruna winger Yeremay Hernandez has sparked excitement after admitting that playing for Barcelona would be a dream come true.

At just 22 years old, Hernandez has become the heartbeat of Deportivo’s attack and one of the standout stars in Spanish football’s second tier.

The talented Spaniard was recently honoured at the AFE Gala, where he was named the Best Player of La Liga Hypermotion for last season.

Hernandez’s dream

During a recent appearance on El Larguero via Cadena SER, Hernandez was asked about his future and whether he could see himself at a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

His response was clear and heartfelt, “I really like the Spanish league, our league.

“I like the big teams, Barça and Madrid, they are top teams and I would love to play for one of them one day, it would be a dream come true.

“But for now, my dream is to play for Depor,” he said.

His statement has naturally set off speculation about a potential move to one of Spain’s footballing giants, especially Barcelona, who have shown a keen interest in signing promising domestic talents in recent years, especially wingers.

Hernandez’s technical quality, creativity, and explosive pace make him an ideal fit for the style of football Hansi Flick wants to develop at Camp Nou.

Sharing pitch with Yamal and Mbappe

When questioned about the idea of sharing the pitch with stars such as Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe, the young winger smiled and replied,

“Playing alongside those two would be amazing. We would play well together. They would pass you the ball and all that.”

In a show of humility, he was later asked whether he could compete with Lamine Yamal as the best player in La Liga if Deportivo were promoted.

His answer reflected both respect and self-awareness: “No, he’s very good. He’s better than me,” he noted.
