Giannis Antetokounmpo’s facial reaction amid ‘Fire Nico’ chants in Bucks-Mavericks says it all

Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison is certainly popular among Mavs fans, and they let him know it during Monday’s game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

With the Mavericks’ once 13-point lead chopped down to a point in the fourth quarter, Mavericks fans erupted into a “Fire Nico” chant.

With Dallas forward PJ Washington at the free throw line with just 1.2 seconds left in regulation, Antetokounmpo was caught on camera seemingly trying to keep himself from laughing as the crowd inside the building voiced out their displeasure with Harrison in unison.

Ever since the Mavericks shockingly traded superstar Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February, Dallas supporters have not let up in expressing their desire for the team to fire Harrison. As of Monday night, even with the Mavs suffering a 116-114 loss, Harrison remains part of the team.

Milwaukee, which lost to the Houston Rockets on Sunday, found itself down by 13 points early in the fourth quarter versus the Mavs, but managed to come out on top, thanks in large part to Antetokounmpo, who scored 15 of his 30 points in the final period. Kyle Kuzma also played a key role, as he put up 10 points in the fourth period before finishing with a game total of 26 points coming off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks were led by rookie Cooper Flagg, who scored 26 points with nine rebounds and four assists to go with two steals and a block.

The Bucks are now 7-4 and will look to keep it going on Wednesday versus the Charlotte Hornets on the road. The Mavs, on the other hand, dropped to 3-8 before facing the Phoenix Suns at home on Wednesday.
