Tottenham Hotspur were very active in this summer’s transfer market as they bolstered their squad ahead of their Champions League return. This transfer business has helped Thomas Frank enjoy a steady start to the 2025/26 season. The Lilywhites are among the clubs in contention to qualify for the top four and remain unbeaten in the Champions League campaign after four rounds. As per recent reports, Spurs have been keeping tabs on Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye ahead of a possible swoop in January. The north Londoners have identified the 25-year-old as a potential option to fortify their attacking unit.
Iliman Ndiaye is enjoying a productive campaign for Everton. The Senegalese international has been among the standout performers for David Moyes’ side, bagging four goals and an assist in 11 Premier League appearances. He scored a fantastic goal in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last week, and the winger’s form has caught the attention of several clubs across Europe.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Tottenham are considering tabling a substantial offer for Ndiaye and have already made initial contact with Everton. The Lilywhites have added him to their list of priorities, but the Toffees are reluctant to sell one of their star players in midst of the campaign, unless they receive offers between £60-70 million. Plus, Frank and Co. must convince the player to choose their project ahead of other interested parties.

Ndiaye has demonstrated his talent and attacking prowess in the blue half of Merseyside, reviving his career in the Premier League after a failed stint with Marseille. He can operate on either flank and centrally as a No.9 if required, and such flexibility would align well with Frank’s tactics and system. The Senegalese is a fine dribbler, quick, agile, creative and can score goals with both feet.
At Tottenham, the ex-Sheffield United man will be able to compete at a higher level than Everton. Convincing Ndiaye to join Frank’s forces at N17 should not be a difficult task for Spurs, but it will be interesting to see whether they are willing to meet Everton’s asking price to sign him in the winter window. If signed, the African star could be a long-term asset for the Europa League champions.
