Haaland wins October Goal of the Month

Congratulations to Erling Haaland who’s scooped the October Goal of the Month for his winner at Brentford.

Haaland scored the only goal as City defeated the Bees 1-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Our powerful No.9 outmuscled Sepp van den Berg to meet Josko Gvardiol’s precise ball through before slotting past Caoimhin Kelleher.

The goal was not only important because it helped us collect three valuable points, either.

It also gave manager Pep Guardiola his 250th Premier League win, reaching the landmark in just 349 games - 55 games quicker than anyone else.

It was also Haaland’s fifth goal that week, after hitting two in a 5-1 triumph over Burnley in the Premier League and another two in the 2-2 draw at Monaco in the Champions League.

Other contenders in October included Haaland’s goal in the UCL at Villarreal, Omar Marmoush’s powerful strike at Swansea, Bunny Shaw and Iman Beney finishes against Arsenal as well as Aoba Fujino’s crucial winner at Liverpool.

There were also three options from our Academy – efforts from Ryan McAidoo, Charlie Gray, Seb Naylor and Tyrone Samba.

Well done to Erling on collecting October GOTM award.
