Crystal Palace loan exit idea floated – Player can reunite with manager

Borna Sosa has had a frustrating season so far for Crystal Palace.

The Croatian has played only once in the Premier League. In all competitions, he has a total of 410 minutes.

The 27-year-old could now leave Crystal Palace in January. FiorentinaUno report he’s an attractive opportunity for Fiorentina.

La Viola appointed Paolo Vanoli as manager last week. The Italian managed Sosa during his time at Torino in the 2024/25 season, when the left-back was on loan from Ajax.

There is belief that Sosa’s lack of game time can convince Crystal Palace into loaning him out in January. He’s seen as an ideal back-up to Robin Gosens at left wing-back. Fiorentina are also playing in the Conference League and the ex-Ajax player can add important depth at wing-back.

Under Vanoli at Torino, Sosa made 20 appearances in all competitions. It could have been more, if the Croatia international hadn’t picked up an ankle injury.

With the World Cup coming up, Sosa would want regular game time. Playing under a trusted manager like Vanoli can go a long way in helping him prove his qualities.
