Andy Robertson’s contract is set to expire in just over six months time.
The Reds had a bit of a summer overhaul that saw many new faces arrive but also old faces depart, signalling a big change.
However, despite interest from Atletico Madrid, Robertson decided to stick around for at least another year, which also saw him be made vice-captain.

Now, though, he is about to enter the final six months of his deal, with many fans wanting him to sign a new one.
The left-back has been quiet about this situation until now, with the Scotsman sharing how he really feels about potentially leaving Liverpool.

Andy Robertson speaks out about Liverpool future
Robertson will go down, no matter what, as one of the best bargain-buys in Liverpool history after arriving for just £8m back in 2017.
He has gone on to become one of the best left-backs in the world and one of the greatest servants to the club, with everything he has achieved meaning he can be classed as a legend.
Now 31, his time is slowly coming to an end, with Liverpool even preparing for this by signing Milos Kerkez, even if things have not gone to plan just yet.

Many are calling for him to be given a new contract, though, after his impressive performances this season, with the Scotsman now opening up about how he feels on the situation.
“They’ve [Liverpool] done everything for me in terms of me and my family. I think I’ve not been too bad for them in terms of signing from Hull for £8million and what I’ve done,” he told the Liverpool Echo.
“Whatever happens will happen behind closed doors and I’m relaxed about the whole situation. If it is my last year, then it’s my last year. If it’s not, then so be it.

“But I think obviously I had a bit of a stressful summer in terms of decisions and things like that. And I’ve said to myself to just try and enjoy the next few months and then obviously it will start probably taking over my life.
“I’ve got no doubt about that.”
Liverpool need Andy Robertson to stay
Liverpool’s summer has proven that too much change might be a bad thing, so they need to do all they can to keep the important players in their squad together.
Robertson is, arguably, one of the most important of all, with his experience and leadership qualities so vital given the current situation they find themselves in.
He has also shown that he is the better of the two left-backs this season and that he still has a lot to offer, making it a no-brainer to give him at least another one-year deal.
Kerkez will also need him around so he can learn from him and fill the void when he eventually departs, with Robertson’s contract dilemma perhaps the most important piece of business they will do between now and the summer.
