West Ham United’s revival under Nuno Espírito Santo appears to be gaining momentum, with the Hammers recording back-to-back Premier League victories that have breathed fresh life into their season.
After an impressive 3–1 win over Newcastle United, Nuno’s men edged Burnley 3–2 at the London Stadium — marking their first consecutive league victories of the campaign.
Momentum is finally building in East London, with Lucas Paquetá rediscovering his spark and Mateus Fernandes beginning to find his rhythm in midfield.
However, despite the improvement, Nuno is said to believe there’s still one missing piece needed to complete his evolving side — and he already knows exactly who he wants.

According to Hammers News, West Ham have reignited their pursuit of Quinten Timber after Nuno Espírito Santo personally approved the transfer.
The Portuguese boss reportedly tried to bring the Dutch midfielder to Nottingham Forest last summer and now wants him at the London Stadium.
Timber, who has been described as “special” by former Feyenoord and current Liverpool manager Arne Slot, is viewed internally as the ideal player to strengthen the Hammers’ midfield ahead of a crucial second half of the season.
The report claims that the 24-year-old Feyenoord star could be available for around £17 million in January, with his contract set to expire in 2026.
A West Ham insider told Hammers News: “There will be plenty of interest from elsewhere, and Timber believes he should be playing Champions League football.
“But Nuno likes him and wanted him at Forest, so it makes sense. There’s a feeling he could be the missing piece for the manager.”
If West Ham can secure Timber’s signature, it would represent a major boost to their midfield depth — and potentially the signing that helps Nuno’s men steer clear of the drop zone.
