Everton will surely be furious as the Premier League have bowed down to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
Former Everton man Arteta is now in charge of the league leaders, who are fighting on multiple fronts, as they are still in all four competitions.
The Arsenal boss kicked up a fuss over fixture congestion as they were scheduled to face Everton just two days before the Carabao Cup quarter-final with Crystal Palace.
He has now been granted his wish, and the Hill Dickinson Stadium clash has been moved to a new date.

The Blues took to X on 11 November to confirm that the contest will now take place on 20 December at 20:00 GMT.
It was originally scheduled for 21 November at 14:00, but will now take place a day earlier after Arteta’s side’s request was granted.
Arteta had complained on 3 November, saying: “Hopefully they will move our Premier League match, because playing two days later doesn’t make sense.”
Premier League are a farce after bowing to Arsenal demands
Why should the Gunners be given special treatment when it comes to their fixture list in December?
Every side has a grim festive schedule with many games in quick succession, Arteta’s side are on the best in the world, with one of the biggest squads, they should not get sympathy for being good.
Everton’s December schedule:
2 December: Bournemouth vs Everton
6 December: Everton vs Nottingham Forest
13 December: Chelsea vs Everton
20 December: Everton vs Arsenal
27 December: Burnley vs Everton
30 December: Nottingham Forest vs Everton
Now, the Londoners have the chance to play with their best side, rather than rotating, which will give them a better chance of victory.
That is a result of having more time before the Palace match, which they did have originally, and will ultimately be at Everton’s expense.
The Blues have shown grace by being willing to accept the change, when it may not work out to their benefit.
They will surely be furious behind the scenes though, as the visitors have been given an easier route to a win.
