Greece boss Ivan Jovanovic has hinted at a senior international debut for Charalampos Kostoulas.
The [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) forward has joined the squad for the first time as they prepare to play World Cup qualifiers at home to Scotland and away to Belarus.
Greece are out of the running for even a play-off place, which is a huge disappointment.
But Jovanovic has called in three youngsters for the final two qualifiers and has indicated they will get a chance to impress.
He revealed he had been looking to get Kostoulas involved after his impressive form for Olympiacos last season.
But those plans were put on hold by an injury which ended his season and also delayed his adaptation to the Albion squad.
Jovanovic said: “We always try to open the national team roster with some guys who show that they are in good competitive condition.
“Kostoulas showed good results last year in the Greek championship but, in the March and June periods, we did not have him due to injury.
“We want to see him now in the national team as well.”
Jovanovic said the next two games will not be taken lightly.
He added: “We have high-level matches ahead, although they are not important in terms of points, but every match for the national team is different.
“We have talent, we are a team with perspective, we have a group of players who live for the national team.
“The players represent Greece in the best possible way. We must try to return to good matches and victories."
Stefanos Tzimas is with the under-21s as they go into a run of home games with qualification for the next Euros within their grasp.
