‘The problem is Kia Joorabchian’ – Belief agent pushing client to West Ham

Kia Joorabchian has had some well-documented transfer dealings with West Ham in the past.

The agent may now be trying to steer another player towards the London club. Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee is the man involved.

Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports the 24-year-old has expressed a desire to depart Old Trafford, in a last ditch attempt at World Cup football.

Zirkzee isn’t getting enough game time at Manchester United, having started only once in the Premier League. He would ideally want to return to Serie A, where AS Roma are interested in a January move.

The newspaper note that – ‘the problem is Kia Joorabchian’. This is because the agent wants the striker to remain in the Premier League.

This would favour West Ham, who are interested. The reasons for Joorabchian’s stance are purely financial. He would be likely to earn a higher commission from a deal in England.

The Manchester United player isn’t convinced by West Ham. Zirkzee doesn’t want to fight a relegation battle despite Nuno Espirito Santo’s side being willing to cover the finances of a deal.

Joorabchian will also believe a Premier League stay is the better option long term.
