Everton are prioritising a move to sign a new striker in January, with Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee high on their list of options, according to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett.
The Toffees could look to make a splash in the January market as they sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table. It was an exciting and impressive start to the 2025/2026 campaign for Everton, but they've started slipping down the table since then.
Despite a hectic summer transfer window, Everton's squad still has some holes in it, with the full-back positions a particular concern. Question marks have also been asked of their striker situation, with the Merseyside club struggling in the goalscoring department this campaign.

According to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, Everton are prioritising a move to sign a new striker in the January transfer window, looking at a different profile to Beto and Thierno Barry. Man Utd's Zirkzee is high up on their list of options if he were to become available, while Ivan Toney is also a potential target.
Zirkzee, described as 'elite' by scout Ben Mattinson, would offer David Moyes a different profile in the centre-forward position to both Beto and Barry. The Dutch international is a striker who prefers to drop deep, linking play, rather than playing on the last defender like Beto and Barry do.
Zirkzee has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford since his arrival from Bologna, but there's a reason United forked out a significant amount to bring him to the club. The 24-year-old needed time to adapt to the Premier League, but hasn't really been afforded that opportunity under Ruben Amorim, and a January departure seems likely with the Red Devils utilising both Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha ahead of him in the striker position at times this season.
