The footage settles the debate for those who claimed initially it was an AI image. That photo circulating on social media showing the Dolphins’ HC was actually in his driving seat with a sunglass while passing Fort Lauderdale’s Elbo Room.
Fan Video From Elbo Room Shows What Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel Really Did
The Dolphins ended a seven-game losing streak to their AFC East rivals. After the win, McDaniel made headlines by stopping at the Bills’ favorite South Florida hangout, seemingly to troll fans.
Bills fan Josh Martin captured the moment, posting both photo and video evidence. His buddy filmed McDaniel’s car rolling past Bills Mafia posted outside the bar. The coach’s arm hung out the window. His eyes locked on the camera. McDaniel addressed the viral moment Monday, staying coy about whether it was actually him.
“That’s why I like the good old days, you know,” McDaniel told reporters, adding that he lives in that area but mentioning AI could be responsible. In true McDaniel fashion, he escaped with an unclear response and a no-nonsense excuse.
Exclusive fan footage surfaced online via @the_real_reason, showing the same moment from a different angle as McDaniel passed by the iconic Elbo Room.
The post read, “For everyone who thought the pics of McDaniel trolling Bills fans outside the Elbo Room were fake or AI: They’re real and spectacular.”

However, the fourth-year head coach wasn’t actually taunting Bills Mafia. Fans simply interpreted his presence there after the upset win as a troll.
Even wide receiver Tyreek Hill joined in the chorus of those who are making fun of Bills Mafia. He praised McDaniel on social media, penning, “I see coach back on that pet dog,” followed by laughing emojis.

The charismatic detour showed McDaniel still has juice. But Sunday’s trolling job won’t save his job alone.
Miami general manager Chris Grier was already fired after the Week 9 loss to Baltimore. The shakeup signals that change is coming very soon. McDaniel has zero playoff wins since taking over in 2022. That’s the actual rock bottom for the front office.
However, owner Stephen Ross reportedly wants to wait until after the 2026 season to decide whether a full franchise reset is necessary. Sunday’s win gave McDaniel some breathing room.
Four of Miami’s next five games are against teams with losing records, making the schedule favorable, but it remains to be seen whether the Dolphins’ fate will help or not.
