West Ham teen has 7 assists in 9 games and tells Nuno that he's getting better and better

Emeka Adiele feels he is getting better and better at West Ham United after providing a seventh Premier League 2 assist of the campaign during Friday’s 3-0 thrashing of Liverpool.

On a night in which Mohamadou Kante ‘lit up’ Rush Green with a rasping left-footed drive, the Hammers’ England Under-18 international maintained his stunning recent form in the final third.

Emeka Adiele has ‘real ability’ and ‘high potential’, according to West Ham United’s interim reserve coach Greg Lincoln. Having reached double figures for goals [four] and assists [seven] already, the stats certainly back up Lincoln’s belief in the swashbuckling left-sider.

Speaking to the club’s official website on Tuesday, Adiele highlights the signing of professional terms in July 2024 as the springboard for his ongoing emergence.

“I feel like I’ve definitely improved since signing my pro contract,” the 18-year-old says. “There’s still plenty of room for improvement, so I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing.

“Training well, playing well, and hopefully I’ll get more opportunities.”

While Nuno called up Airidas Golambeckis for Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Burnley, Adiele trained with the West Ham seniors during the pre-season trip to Germany.

“It was just nice to go along and train with them.”
