Richard Sherman says what all Seahawks fans were thinking at the end of Week 10

The Seattle Seahawks are 7-2 entering an ultra-important Week 11 contest against the Los Angeles Rams. Whoever wins the game will be the clear leader for the division title and likely a playoff bye. At least until Week 16, when the teams meet again on Thursday Night Football.

The Seahawks have blown out two straight opponents, neither team (the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals) are very good. A completely different test will happen for Seattle in LA. Which Seattle team will show up, though? The first half of the games or the second half of the games?

Even quarterback Sam Darnold is a different player from one half to the next. In 2025, he has 10 total turnovers, but seven of those have come in the second half of games. That is a trend that needs to change.

The Seattle Seahawks need to correct their second half issues moving forward in 2025

Seattle Seahawks legend Richard Sherman has noticed the trend, too, especially what happened in Seattle's Week 10 beatdown of the Arizona Cardinals. Sherman's former team led 38-7 in the second quarter. In the second half, Seattle was outscored 15-6, but partly because of Darnold's turnovers.

Were they all his fault? No. The first was a fumble after a mistimed snap from center Olu Oluwatimi, who had literally just entered the game after Jalen Sundell was hurt. But that doesn't take away from Seattle needing to be better in the second half of contests moving forward.

Watching the second half of Week 10, Sherman wrote on X/Twitter, "What is going on with the Seahawks in this 3rd Quarter?! Played almost a perfect half but has multiple turnovers in the 3rd Q."

He isn't wrong, and he could have written the same post in multiple games this season. Besides the dreaded turnovers, Seattle's defense let the Cardinals have a couple of solid drives even though Arizona was forced to throw on every down. Maybe head coach Mike Macdonald's crew simply wanted to force Arizona to eat clock on drives, but the defense wasn't getting as many stops.

Still, if (and this is a huge if) the Seahawks can continue to have exceedingly hot starts to games, they will force the other team into difficult situations by halftime. Will that happen in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams? 12s can certainly hope so, but quarterback Matthew Stafford might have other ideas.
