Aaron Donald Trolls 49ers Fans Following Rams’ Week 10 Win

When it comes to current NFL rivalries, there might be none better than the one between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.

Since head coaches Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan took over their respective teams, the Rams and 49es have been perennial Super Bowl contenders with the former winning Super Bowl LVI. Los Angeles needed to beat San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game to earn their Super Bowl appearance, but it paid off with the franchise’s first championship in Los Angeles.

Aaron Donald was a major reason for the Rams’ success during those years as he was a constant terror along the defensive front. Donald had numerous heated battles with the 49ers during his playing days and those feelings haven’t gone away even in retirement.

In fact, Donald had more fun at the 49ers’ fans expense following the Rams’ blowout win in Week 10, via his personal X account:

What’s up with all these 49ers fans y’all mad y’all still living off y’all last Super Bowl win in 1995 haha. Y’all know my resume. Let me be 💫

Donald initially upset the San Francisco fanbase with a previous tweet that mocked how badly they were getting beaten:

Belt to ass hahaha good shit Rams 🫡💪🏽

Riling up a passionate fan base like the 49ers’ doesn’t take much and Donald had to know that he would receive some backlash for his posts.

However, it’s hard to blame the Los Angeles legend for being a little petty as he suffered some brutal losses to San Francisco when the two teams were competing for the NFC West division title. Donald obviously got the biggest laugh when he was able to win his first and only Super Bowl ring, but athletes tend to hold grudges even after retirement.

As far as the win goes, it was a statement from the Rams as they had previously blown a game to the 49ers in Week 5 and the team knew they had to respond. L.A. came into the matchup as winners of three straight, and continued to show the NFL that they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders again because of their strong play on both sides of the field.

Even without a presence like Donald up front, the Rams boast a fearsome pass rush coupled with an explosive offense led by Matthew Stafford. If things continue to trend upward, Donald might have more ammunition to troll 49ers fans with.

Rams stars Davante Adams and Puka Nacua believe Matthew Stafford should be in conversation for NFL MVP

Matthew Stafford continued his torrid passing stretch, throwing another four touchdowns and no interceptions in the win against the 49ers. Davante Adams and Puka Nacua have benefitted from Stafford’s elite play and believe the Rams quarterback should be in the conversation for NFL MVP.
