Andy Reid Announces Chiefs Are Adding Reinforcements Before Broncos Game

The Kansas City Chiefs' last outing was a 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. After dropping to 5-4, they used their bye week to regroup ahead of a critical stretch-not only for the AFC playoff picture but also for the AFC West divisional race.

This week, Kansas City heads to Mile High Stadium for a divisional showdown against the Denver Broncos (8-2), who currently lead the division.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced that some major reinforcements are set to return. Rookie left tackle Josh Simmons, who began the season as the starter but missed several games for personal reasons, is expected back in practice. Reid did not confirm whether Simmons will immediately reclaim the starting role, as Jaylon Moore has played well in his absence.

"I think what we'll do is see where we're at here," Reid said regarding Simmons' return. "We know we've got a good player in there now, and we know what Josh is capable of. We'll just see where we're at when they get back."

Reid also revealed that running back Isiah Pacheco is expected to return to practice this week, a major boost for the Chiefs' offense and running game, which has centered around him and Kareem Hunt.

He did not provide a firm update on right tackle Jawaan Taylor, who left the Bills game with an ankle injury, but noted that Taylor was feeling somewhat better before the bye week-offering some optimism heading into Sunday's 4:25 p.m. EST kickoff on CBS.
