Sheffield Wednesday's Henrik Pedersen explains his Owls changes
The latest Sheffield Wednesday news as in-form Manchester United loanee Harry Amass speaks on his future and a new update on a takeover.
Manchester United loanee Harry Amass has been a bright spark on the pitch for Sheffield Wednesday in recent weeks and The Star understands talks with his parent club are underway about his future.
The 18-year-old left-back signed on a season-long loan in the summer but there is a break clause in his deal that could see him return to Old Trafford if Manchester United believe that is best for his development.
Due to the South Yorkshire club’s dire financial situation when Amass was signed, Manchester United had to take on all the fees attached to the loan deal as well as the youngster's wages. But with a potential new owner on the horizon, the Owls could take on more of the finances within the deal, which could see Amass stay at Hillsborough for the entire length of the deal.
Speaking to The Star about his future last month, Amass said: “It's about going back as a better player,” he said. “It's all about helping the team, but doing that is going to help me as well. There's a lot of stuff improving on the defensive side of my game and it's about improving every day, analysing it properly. The loan is really helping, and I feel like I'm getting better.
“I'm obviously playing a lot of minutes, which is the main thing. We haven't had the results that we've wanted, but on a personal point of view, I'm enjoying it. I think we can do more, and I feel like there are more levels within me that I can try to produce. That will come with more games, getting used to it more and making sure I keep enjoying it.”

The latest update on the takeover front sees a new date added to the calendar for when fans can expect news on who the preferred bidder will be.
Last week, it was revealed that administrators at Begbies Traynor set a soft deadline of 21 November for interested parties to submit their offers for the club. And it is now understood that after that date, there will be a two-week negotiation process, and the point of intention for the administrators to select a preferred bidder will be on 5 December.
After this final date, it could take weeks to then have the deal completed and ratified.
In an update provided last week ahead of the three new parties offering proof of funds, joint administrator Kris Wigfield told the BBC: "We need them to satisfy us that they will make the club viable, and we need them to satisfy us that they will pass the EFL fit and proper test. But beyond that, it is really who makes the best offer, not necessarily who would be the best custodian for the club.
"All of the seven interested parties that we've got at the moment are likely to significantly improve the situation, and a few of the parties have got significant financial means who would probably revolutionise the club."
