Rebels in the Pros: Jaxson Dart Needs a New Coach

Yep. You read that right. It seems like a real ugly situation brewing in New York as the GM got rid of Brian Daboll, the man who went all in on former Rebel Jaxson Dart. The thing is, Daboll was right.

So far, Dart has surpassed expectations, putting up better numbers than Jayden Daniels in his rookie season. The problem? The Giants have blown four double digit leads, the last one coming this past Sunday against the Bears. Now, they probably hang on and win if Dart doesn’t leave with a concussion and they had to rely on the fossils of Russel Wilson.

Dart was phenomenal again for the Giants, adding two more rushing touchdowns to his resume and doing things that no rookie quarterback has ever done in the NFL.

Yea he’s that dude and the Rebels that have entered the NFL since Lane Kiffin’s arrival will continue to have a bigger impact each passing year. Here are some other former Rebs from the weekend:

Evan Engram had two catches for 17 yards on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Hey here’s a name. Laquon Treadwell recorded a tackle on special teams for the Colts!

Dawson Knox had three catches for 37 yards while Elijah Moore had two for nine yards in a shocking loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Benito Jones had two tackles in that same game.

Jaxson Dart finished with 308 yards of total offense and the only two touchdowns for the Giants.

Princely Umanmielen had three tackles and a hit on the QB against the Saints.

Walter Nolen followed suit, adding a QB hit of his own to two tackles for the Cardinals.

Trey Amos also had two tackles for the Commanders.

DK Metcalf had seven targets, but only managed to haul in three of them for 35 yards. On the other sideline, Tre Harris only had two catches for a whopping four yards.

AJ Brown added to the disappointing day of former Rebel receivers with just two catches for 13 yards himself.
