The Green Bay Packers‘ offense may have hit rock bottom in Week 10. It scored a season-low seven points in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and couldn’t even crack 300 total yards.

The Packers stubbornly continued to try to run the ball, which is something they haven’t been able to do successfully all season. So, constantly facing third-and-long situations, the passing game was often caught behind the sticks.

That’s why, after one of the ugliest games of the season, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky used one word to describe the Packers’ offense.

“Indefensible by that offense. Indefensible,” Orlovsky wrote on X.

The @packers 3 losses this season they’ve given up:

13

16

10

Indefensible by that offense.

Indefensible.

Granted, there should be no shame in losing to the defending Super Bowl champions, even at home. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman pulled off another masterclass at the NFL trade deadline, bringing in solid reinforcements for their defense. Also, with Vic Fangio calling the shots as coordinator, Philadelphia is among the best on that side of the ball.

Nevertheless, this was the same issue that hurt the Packers in upset losses to the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns. This is a play-calling problem.

Some believe that head coach Matt LaFleur might be coaching for his job for the remainder of the season. Perhaps the best way to save it will be to give up play-calling duties.

His offense is incredibly predictable and conservative. With the myriad of weapons the Packers have, the struggles feel like a disservice to the team and the fan base.
