This week marks Anti-Bullying Week and by way of spotlighting the 2025 campaign, Josko Gvardiol and City helped provide an unforgettable heart-warming surprise for one special young supporter.

Keen City fan Thomas had been going through a tough time at school.
On top of having to deal with those issues, Thomas’s sister Cara had also fallen ill after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
Thomas’s Mum spoke movingly about having to watch what Thomas was going through and how his caring nature and kindness for his sister and others never wavered despite his own worries.
She also revealed how football and the family’s passion for City helped provided Thomas with a positive outlet away from the problems he was encountering.
Consequently, to help shine a light on Anti-Bullying Week where the theme of the 2025 campaign is centred on being a ‘Power for Good’, the Club got in contact with Thomas’s family to see how we could offer our support.
Thomas and his family were subsequently invited to have a personal tour at the Club – where he was surprised by a special meeting with Josko Gvardiol, one of Thomas’s favourite City players.
Josko took time out to personally greet a shocked Thomas and his family, signing a City shirt and posing for special photographs with Thomas.
But the surprises didn’t end there.
City and Josko also invited Thomas into the tunnel area ahead of our recent Premier League home game with Bournemouth where he was able to personally greet Josko and the City players as they made their way into the dressing room to prepare for the match.
Thomas and his family were also given special seats at the Etihad to watch all the action unfold as City ran out 3-1 victors.
His verdict on the whole unforgettable experience? 10 out of 10!
