Brentford FC midfielder Vitaly Janelt is supposed to be among the top candidates on Eintracht Frankfurt's transfer wishlist.

Seen as an area of need for Frankfurt, the chances of the Hessen club securing the 27-year-old's signature appear to be improving.

According to information from British broadcaster Sky Sports, the German is expected to leave Brentford next summer.

With his contract set to expire, an agreement on an extension has not yet been reached and is not currently in sight.

The Premier League club is therefore already actively looking for a new midfielder to fill the center of the Bees' middle third long-term.

Frankfurt can likely hope for a cost-effective transfer coup with Janelt given his contract situation making him a potential bargain.

In 2020, Janelt moved from VfL Bochum to Brentford for just €600,000 and developed well while also remaining largely unnoticed.

However, things haven't gone so smoothly for him personally this season. A heel injury has reduced him to 7 substitute appearances so far.
