The New York Giants will begin the 2026 NFL season with a new head coach after Brian Daboll was fired on Monday.

As of Tuesday, former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is the +700 betting favorite to land the Giants job.
McCarthy parted ways with Dallas after the 2024 season and has not coached since. In 18 years as a head coach with the Packers and Cowboys, McCarthy had a 174-112-2 regular season record and 11-11 playoff record.
The 62-year-old won Super Bowl XLV with Green Bay in the 2010 season.
Close behind McCarthy in the odds are Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak (+800), Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo (+900), and Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo.

Under Kubiak, the Seahawks’ offense has blossomed into one of the NFL’s best this season. The 38-year-old is considered one of the league’s brightest offensive minds and could be a top candidate for his first career head coaching job with New York.
Anarumo and Spagnuolo have both previously worked for the Giants, with the latter serving as the team’s defensive coordinator for the historic Super Bowl win over the unbeaten New England Patriots in the 2007 season.
‘Spags’ later returned as New York’s interim head coach in 2015, before joining the Chiefs in 2019, where he has won three Super Bowls as the team’s defensive coordinator.
Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury (+1000), current interim coach Kafka (+1200), Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter (+1200), and Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley (+1200) round off the top eight betting favorites.
