Leeds United boss Daniel Farke loves a hostile football ground
The likes of Mateo Joseph, Joe Gelhardt and Max Wober are all spending the season away from Leeds United.
Around £100m was spent on ten new additions to the Whites ranks - but there were also a whole host of departures as the likes of Rasmus Kristensen and Sam Greenwood ventured to pastures new and Junior Firpo, Patrick Bamford and Joshua Guilovogui were all allowed to leave the club on free transfers. Loan signings Manor Solomon and Joe Rothwell also returned to their parent clubs after helping Leeds to promotion.
There were also a number of members of the Whites squad that secured loan moves away from Elland Road and it would be safe to say they have experienced mixed fortunes during the first three months of season-long moves elsewhere. With the third international break of the campaign now upon us, we take a look at just how Leeds stars have fared during their loan stints.
How are Leeds United players performing during loan spells elsewhere?

Largie Ramazani
The winger joined La Liga club Valencia after he was an unused substitute in Whites’ Premier League opener with Everton and made a promising start to life back in Spain as he provided an assist in his new side’s 3-0 win against Getafe. However, a muscle injury has limited Ramazani to just five appearances in all competitions and has disrupted his attempts to settle into life with Valencia.
Much like Ramazani, Austria international Wober has experienced similar frustrations after suffering a hamstring injury in the early days of his loan spell with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. As it stands, Wober has made a solitary appearance for his temporary employers and that came in a shock DFB-Pokal (German Cup) defeat against Armenia Bielefeld.
Mateo Joseph
Joseph caused some frustration in the Elland Road ranks when he agitated for a move to Spain and he eventually got his wish as he joined Real Mallorca on a season-long loan. After a slow start to his time with his new club, Joseph finally got off the mark with a brace in a 3-1 win against Sevilla - although they remain his only goals so far. In total, the versatile forward has two goals and two assists in 12 appearances in all competitions.
Isaac Schmidt
Schmidt followed fellow Whites defender Wober to Werder Bremen and there have been some suggestions his loan could be converted into a permanent move. The Austrian has scored one goal in six appearances during the first two and a half months of the Bundesliga season but did suffer a foot injury that hampered his progress.
Joe Gelhardt
Gelhardt has been unquestionably the most successful of the players Leeds have sent out on loan after making a major impact in the early months of a season-long stint at Championship club Hull City. The versatile forward has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 16 appearances in all competitions and is currently on an impressive run of five goals in his last six games.
Charlie Crew
The young midfielder joined League One newcomers Doncaster Rovers during the summer transfer window and has made seven appearances in all competitions. However, he has not featured in the league since a 2-1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in late September but did make two appearances for Wales Under-21s last month.
