Everton are in the market for a new striker in January and Ivan Toney is one player who could be on the move.
Another Premier League game went by without a goal from one of Everton’s strikers against Fulham on Saturday.
However, there were big improvements made, with Everton fans delighted by Thierno Barry’s performance against the Cottagers.
David Moyes will still be keen to see the likes of Barry and Beto find the back of the net as they share a combined one goal in the league this season.
As a result, Everton News understands that Everton will be looking for another striker when the January transfer market opens for business.
Ivan Toney is a name on the lips of clubs across the Premier League, and David Bentley thinks he knows exactly where he’ll end up.

Ivan Toney’s expected preferred destination shared amid Everton interest
Last week, Everton News reported that Everton had sent scouts to watch Franculino Dju in action for FC Midtjylland against Celtic.
On Tuesday afternoon, Sky Sports reported interest from Everton in the Al-Ahli striker Toney, with the January window weeks away from opening.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Bentley, is expecting Toney to reunite with his former manager Thomas Frank.
“I think Tottenham. He’s got to go to Tottenham, surely. Under Thomas Frank, he’s had a great time with him at Brentford,” said the 41-year-old.
“I’m sure they’re talking and I’m sure that will be the number one destination for him to go back in at.”
Everton will be keen to throw their hat in the ring and make an attempt to pull off the signing having already secured the likes of Jack Grealish over the summer.
With Angus Kinnear keeping their options open, Everton hold an interest in Richarlison, whose future may become uncertain at Spurs if they are to add a player of Toney’s quality.
Ivan Toney still poses major risk as January target
Everton News reported last week that the addition of a striker in January could see Everton consider selling Beto.
Landing someone like Toney would appear a really positive signing for Everton, at least on paper.
But it has to be remembered that the 29-year-old has not scored consistently in England for a couple of years now.
Ivan Toney 2022/23 (Premier League) 2023/24 (Premier League) 2024/25 (Saudi Pro League) 2025/26 (Saudi Pro League)
Appearances 33 17 30 7
Minutes 2955 1449 2534 533
Goals 20 4 23 5
Assists 4 2 4 0
Everton fans will want to see movement made in January to bring in some further attacking quality.
However, Kinnear and the recruitment team will face a big decision as to whether Toney could return to the Premier League and hit the numbers he showed during the 2022/23 campaign.
Everton are also eyeing a midfielder in January, but finding goals has to be right at the top of the agenda.
