Marc Guehi has been a key figure for Crystal Palace since joining from Chelsea in 2020.
The 25-year-old helped the club secure their first major trophy in 120 years with last season’s FA Cup triumph, followed by the Community Shield victory.
The defender has also established himself as an England international during his time at Selhurst Park and was close to joining Liverpool in the summer for a £35million deal before Palace pulled out of the move.
Guehi’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has so far been unwilling to commit his future to the club.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has already confirmed that the defender will not remain at Selhurst Park beyond next summer.
“I think Marc has already told us that he doesn’t sign a new contract, so he will leave next year,” the Austrian said.
“The club wanted [him to stay]. They offered Marc a new contract. But he said, “no, I want to make something different”. And that’s normal.
“And for us, it’s how we can deal with this situation? [What] is the best way to get this next step done?
“And that’s all about how we are talking together.”
Sky Sports News’ Mark McAdam has now provided the latest update on Guehi’s future.
McAdam said: “We know that there’s interest from Liverpool. That remains.
“We know that Newcastle a couple of summers ago tried to sign him with multiple offers that were rejected.
“Oliver Glasner said in October that Marc Guehi’s potential to sign a new contract at Crystal Palace is not going to happen.
“He’s told them he would like to explore his options and look at the next chapter of his career.
“Bayern Munich are interested. There is potentially a domino effect with Dayot Upamecano at Bayern Munich who could potentially on the radar of other sides in Europe.
“There will be a number of other Premier League sides and teams in Europe that will be saying ‘if we can get Marc Guehi on a free transfer, a captain of a Premier League club who has delivered silverware, he is absolutely they type of player we would like to sign.'”
