Despite a hot start to the 2025 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers have now fallen behind in a very competitive NFC conference and that could mean that big changes are in the works if the legendary franchise cannot turn things around with Jordan Love and Co. during the second half of the campaign.

The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman revealed Tuesday that the Packers could be thinking about making a head coaching change if Green Bay doesn’t make a run in their final eight games, and Matt LeFleur could be the sacrificial firing for the franchise that values winning above all else.
As Schneidman noted, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has put together one of the top defensive units in the NFL this season, and all three of the team’s losses featured Green Bay giving up 16 or less points.
However, LeFleur, who has always been known to be one of the better offensive minds in the league has struggled to find consistency with Love and his offense in 2025. In fact, the Packers star quarterback has only thrown for 13 touchdown passes this season and the team is averaging just 23.7 points per game.

With Green Bay’s challenging schedule coming up though, LeFleur and the franchise will certainly have a chance to overcome their recent struggles or potentially face a world of scrutiny if the wins don’t pile up.
