The Phoenix Suns have been one of the surprise teams of the NBA so far this year, currently sitting at 6-5 despite being projected by many to be among the league's worst teams this year. On Monday evening, the Suns got 42 points from Grayson Allen in a blowout win over the New Orleans Pelicans to get themselves over the .500 mark on the season.
Out of the lineup for that game was Jalen Green, who missed the first few games of the season, took the court one time, and has since been out of the lineup with a hamstring injury. On Tuesday, ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania dropped the latest update on Green's status moving forward, and it isn't one that will be encouraging for Suns fans.
“Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks with a right hamstring strain, sources tell ESPN,” reported Charania on X, formerly Twitter.
Green of course was the key piece that the Suns got back over the offseason in their trade of Kevin Durant for the Houston Rockets. While Green had an abysmal showing in last year's playoffs against the Golden State Warriors, he is still a talented young guard with theoretical room to grow and a great teammate to learn from in Suns All-Star Devin Booker.

Losing him for the next month-plus will certainly be a blow for a Phoenix team that is looking to raise eyebrows in the Western Conference this year.
Up next for the Suns is a road game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.
