Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca will likely be pleased with his side’s position going into the international break, with the Blues occupying third place in the Premier League table.
The West London side have also reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, although they have struggled in the Champions League where they sit 12th in the 36-team group phase table having won twice and lost once in their four games so far.
Off the pitch, it has emerged that the London giants have been in contact about a possible January move for a forward that has been one of the most prolific in Europe over the past few seasons.
As per Tuttosport, via CaughtOffside, both Chelsea and London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have been in contact about a possible move for Juventus striker Jonathan David.

The report claims that both the Blues and the Lilywhites have enquired about the Canada international’s potential availability this winter, although it remains to be seen whether or not either side will make a formal move to sign the striker.
David has scored just once in 14 games since joining the Old Lady over the summer, but he previously demonstrated scintillating form in France.
The 25-year-old scored 109 goals in 232 games – as well as registering 30 assists – for French side Lille prior to his move to Turin.
According to the report, Juventus are considering sell the striker just months after he arrived at the club as a free agent.
Several sides are said to have shown interest in the Canadian attacker, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will depart Turin when the transfer window reopens in January.
David’s contract with Juventus is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 campaign.
