Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson exited Sunday’s game against the Browns in the third quarter when he re-injured his knee.
Wilson missed two games with the knee injury and returned Sunday. He was held to no catches for the first time in his career before his exit.
According to an ESPN report, Wilson will miss three to four weeks with a knee sprain. Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said on Monday that Wilson was undergoing evaluations and did not reveal whether he would play Thursday against the Patriots.
As Wilson entered the blue medical tent with about seven minutes remaining in the third quarter, he appeared to be walking with a limp.
Wilson remained in the tent for five minutes before coming out and getting on the bike. At the end of the quarter, he was on the bike talking to multiple members of the Jets’ medical staff. At the start of the fourth quarter, he sat on the bench and put on a parka.
“We go through that whole process as far as imaging,” Glenn said. “Get him checked up by the doctors before we really stamp like what the issue is, so again hopefully he’ll be good to be able to play this week, but I don’t want to stamp that just yet."
The Jets signed Wilson to a four-year $130 million contract with $90 million guaranteed, which keeps him with the Jets at least through 2030.
