The league suspended Tucker in June 2025 for violating the personal conduct policy following an investigation into multiple allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior by massage therapists in the Baltimore area.

Sixteen massage therapists from eight different spas accused Tucker of inappropriate sexual behavior, including exposing his genitals, during sessions that occurred between 2012 and 2016.
The NFL conducted a months-long investigation following initial reports by The Baltimore Banner in early 2025 and found Tucker in violation of its Personal Conduct Policy.
Tucker and his legal representatives have consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing, but his agent advised him to accept the NFL’s resolution.
By accepting the suspension, Tucker and his agent stated that their goal was to put the “difficult episode” behind him and allow him to get back on the field as soon as possible.
The Baltimore Ravens released Tucker in May 2025 following a months-long period that saw both a significant drop in his on-field performance during the 2024 season and the emergence of the sexual misconduct allegations.
While Ravens management, including General Manager Eric DeCosta, officially labeled the decision as “football-based,” it was widely understood to be a complex situation influenced by both his poor kicking and the off-field allegations.
Justin Tucker Stays Ready and Draws Interest After Post-June 1 Exit From Baltimore
Tucker had his worst statistical season in 2024, making a career-low 73.3% of his field goal attempts.
The Ravens signaled their move away from Tucker by drafting kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, making him the first kicker ever drafted by the franchise. Designating Tucker as a post-June 1 cut also created salary cap savings for the team.
Tucker has been actively working out and is now ready to sign with an NFL team following the lifting of his 10-game suspension. According to NFL Network reports and statements from his agent, Tucker has been training to stay in game shape during his time away from the league.
This has included workouts at his alma mater, the University of Texas, and reportedly recreating some of his most memorable kicks. Even while awaiting his suspension earlier in 2025, Tucker was still kicking at the Baltimore Ravens’ facility.
It has been reported that Tucker has already drawn interest from multiple teams, likely due to his proven track record and the fact that several teams have been struggling with kicking consistency during the season.
Despite his poor 2024 season, he previously held the NFL record for the longest field goal and remains the fourth-most accurate kicker in NFL history with a career field goal percentage of 89.1%.
On November 2, 2025, Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little broke Tucker’s record by hitting a 68-yard field goal. Tucker’s previous record was a 66-yard field goal in 2021.
