PSG, Real Madrid Target Breaks Silence on Bayern Munich Future

PSGhave made it clear in recent transfer windows thatthey’re prioritizing top French talent, adding players such as Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, and Lucas Chevalier.

That strategy appears to be continuing as the club looks to strengthen its defense. While Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté hasbeen mentioned as a possible target, PSG could turn their attention to another high-profile French center back.

Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano, who remains under contract until the 2025–26 season, has reportedly caughtPSG’s attention. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the clubare keeping close tabs on Upamecano’s situation.

Romano noted that a move could happen in the summer of 2026 if the defender opts not to extend his deal with Bayern Munich, which would open the door for a free transfer.

Still, if Upamecano becomes available earlier, PSG would likely view him as amajor defensive acquisition, although competition from other top European clubs could make any pursuit challenging.
