Broncos head to playoffs under first-year Coach Caffey

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) -The Broncos secured a decisive victory against Quanah this past Friday on their newly-named field dedicated to Oklahoma Sooner alum and Oakland Raiders Super Bowl running back Kenny King.

The field dedication helped inspire the team to a big win over their opponents. Head coach Jeff Caffey said the season has been different for the Broncos, but their approach to winning and playoff preparation remains unchanged.

Coach Caffey is taking his team to the post-season in his first year as head coach, with the Broncos set to face the Windthorst Trojans this Friday night.

The playoff game will kick off at 7 p.m. in Vernon, Texas, marking the first time the Broncos and Trojans have shared the same football field.

After a rocky start to the season, the Broncos slipped into a groove as they wrapped up the regular season. The team took down Memphis and Quanah, outscoring their opponents 100 to 43 in the process.

The Broncos secured their most recent victory against Quanah this past Friday on their newly-named field dedicated to Oklahoma Sooner alum and Oakland Raiders Super Bowl running back Kenny King.

Caffey said the season has been different for the Broncos, but their approach to winning and playoff preparation remains unchanged. The coach makes sure his team knows what to do when it comes to the playoffs.
