Rodgers’ Many Expressions
Aaron Rodgers is one to wear his emotions on his sleeve, and he ran the gamut during Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. As stitched together by berges.prod on TikTok, Rodgers was constantly frustrated in his worst game of the season.
Rodgers finished the game 16-of-31 for 161 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Pittsburgh scored just 10 points, its fewest of the season, and was aided by a garbage-time touchdown. He’ll look for happier results and a happier face on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Willie Parker’s Birthday
Blow out the candles, Willie Parker. Parker turns 45 years old today, and the Steelers History Twitter/X account shouted him out earlier today.
An undrafted free agent from North Carolina who struggled even to see the field in college, scout Dan Rooney Jr. convinced Pittsburgh to take a chance on him. It paid off. Parker broke out in the 2004 season finale to become the lead back in 2005. Known for his blazing speed that garnered the “Fast Willie” nickname, Parker ran for at least 1,200 yards in three straight seasons.
He’s best remembered for his 75-yard touchdown in Super Bowl XL, which remains the longest touchdown in Super Bowl history. Parker finished the game with just 93 yards on the ground, but a score that will go down in football history.
Now, his cousin Jaylen Warren serves as the Steelers’ starting running back.
Broncos LB Has Cancer Surgery
Denver Broncos Alex Singleton is recovering from surgery after being diagnosed with testicular cancer last week. Singleton announced to teammates yesterday, noting that doctors caught the cancer early, had the tumor removed, and the cancer had not spread.
Singleton, 31, played all 60 snaps in last Thursday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders, recording nine tackles.
“So, the biggest thing for me was how to get my mind off it, so football was the best thing to do that,” he told reporters via NFL.com. “Playing Thursday night here in our throwbacks made me able to block out everything that was going on in my mind.”
The diagnosis came after a random drug test showed elevated HGH levels. Singleton’s agent, Paul Sheehy, was told of the possibility of it being a sign of cancer and had Singleton undergo additional testing—a life-saving decision.
Credit NFL Drug Testing Program. It flagged elevated hCG in a random test of Singleton. He insisted he took nothing externally to have caused it. His agent Paul Sheehy called league doctor to see if anything within body could triggered. The minute possibility of cancer was…

Singleton underwent surgery yesterday and appears likely to play this weekend in a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs. But the best news is a clean bill of health.
Big Primetime Numbers
Nearly 21 million tuned in to watch Sunday night’s game between the Steelers and Chargers. As shared by NBC PR, primetime football continues to be television gold.
Unfortunately, Pittsburgh hasn’t put on a good show. The Steelers are 0-3 in the primetime window this season, having fallen in Week 7 to the Cincinnati Bengals and in Week 8 to the Green Bay Packers. Unless a future game is flexed or Week 18’s finale versus Baltimore is placed into the night game window, the Steelers have just one more primetime showing this season. That comes in Week 15, a Monday night tilt versus the Miami Dolphins.
