Chelsea content creator becomes Serie A scout

Felix Johnstone, who until recently was a content creator for Chelsea, has been appointed as a scout by Serie A side Como.

They are managed by former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The 20-year old became involved in football seriously during lockdown, creating a niche for himself on social media where he focused on the Chelsea academy

.From there he began to do his own scouting of players, with Chelsea’s youth-focused transfer strategy giving him plenty of ammunition.

Then his first steps into the professional game came in April when he was hired by Danish side Velje as a scouting consultant, before Como reached out to him.

Johnstone, who will be combining his new role with university studies in Milan, will be tasked with taking data which has already been compiled on players, and then watching them before compiling a report.

The only difference from when he was reporting on Chelsea is that now, instead of his views being shared with the social media masses, they will be sent to Fabregas’ email.
