Chelsea fans would almost certainly select Moises Caicedo as their best performing player of the season after his displays in the Premier League and Champions League so far.
Caicedo is finally getting the praise he deserves and is now being recognised as one of the best players in the league, not just at Stamford Bridge.
Jason Cundy believes Caicedo is Chelsea’s most important player, and in the absence of Cole Palmer for the majority of the campaign it has become hard to argue this.
Caicedo was snubbed for the FIFPRO Team of the Year, and the same has occurred in WhoScored’s Team of the Season so far in the Premier League.

Declan Rice has been named in the statistical XI, despite many believing the Ecuador international has overtaken the Arsenal man in terms of abilities.
Claude Makelele picked Caicedo over Rice, however Chelsea relied on Joao Pedro to have a player named in the Team of the Season so far.
The Brazilian was picked up front alongside free-scoring Erling Haaland, despite his average start to life in the Premier League for Chelsea.
Pedro being the only Chelsea selection also saw the likes of Marc Cucurella, Estevao Willian and Reece James snubbed for selection.
After what was a tough start to the season for the Brazil international, Pedro has started to prove his worth in front of goal again, and Chelsea are reaping the rewards.

Pedro starting to prove himself again
Chelsea fans were left really excited for what was to come from their new signing when he starred in the final stages of the Club World Cup.
However, up until the Tottenham game he had managed just three shots on target all season, although has now found the net in back-to-back outings.
Despite Estevao’s hype overshadowing Pedro’s impact a bit, Chelsea can be pleased with the overall start to life at Stamford Bridge.
When taking into the account the underwhelming starts to life for the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak, the Blues will think they have done some very good business in signing him for £60m from Brighton.
