There seems to be no end to the physical problems being suffered by FC Barcelona players, as ever since the start of this season, the Blaugranes have seen several important players miss some games due to injuries or other physical issues.
These issues are also keeping these players from participating fully in their matches with their respective national teams. Now, attention has turned to another Barcelona player, Jules Kounde. According to [Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20251111/1002567770/kounde-algodones-francia.html), the French defender was unable to train with the rest of his national teammates on Tuesday and could be left out of the upcoming match against Ukraine, where a draw would be enough for France to secure qualification for next year’s World Cup.
As reported by L’Équipe, Kounde and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga skipped group training and instead completed light running sessions under the supervision of fitness coach Cyril Moine.
Despite this, the Barcelona defender still took time to greet fans, signing autographs and posing for photos at the Clairefontaine training center.
Kounde had also missed Barcelona’s last match against Celta Vigo due to muscle discomfort. The international break could therefore provide a much-needed opportunity for him to recover fully and return to his best condition.
In principle, Kounde remains available for Didier Deschamps, although with France needing only a draw to qualify, the coaching staff may prefer not to take unnecessary risks. If the defender is rested, Malo Gusto is expected to take his place in the lineup.
Kounde is one of twelve Barcelona players called up during this international break and will hope to join teammates such as Raphinha, Araujo, and Rashford among the cules who have already secured a place at the World Cup.
