Raheem Sterling suffers another break-in

RAHEEM Sterling was the victim of a home break-in on Saturday evening while he and his children were inside the property, writes Sam French.

It’s been reported that an attempted burglary took place at around 7pm, roughly an hour before his side Chelsea faced Wolves at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Why a strong community spirit is so important to Raheem Sterling

Masked intruders are believed to have tried forcing their way into Sterling’s home, though they left empty-handed when they realised the house was occupied. The 30-year-old, who has 82 England caps, lives with his partner Paige Milian and their children.

Thames Valley Police officers are conducting a thorough investigation

The family escaped the incident unharmed, with a spokesperson for Sterling saying: “We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. We can also confirm that he and his children were present at home at the time.

“Whilst the ultimate violation of privacy and safety, we are thankful to be able to confirm that he and his loved ones are all safe. We ask that the privacy of Raheem and his loved ones be respected at this challenging time.”

In a statement by Thames Valley Police, they reported that officers are conducting a “thorough investigation” and have urged anyone with information, or who saw suspicious activity in the area, to come forward.

Chelsea are aware of the incident and are offering their full support to Sterling. It’s not the first time the winger’s home has been targeted. In December 2022 during the Qatar World Cup, burglars entered his home and stole jewellery and watches valued at around £300,000.

Sterling currently remains away from Chelsea’s first-team squad and has not featured this season.
