Sources: Real Madrid keeping tabs on England starlet who is also wanted by Man United

According to a recent report from Fichajes, Gonzalo Garcia has decided that if his situation at Real Madrid does not improve soon, he will look for a way out in the January transfer window.

It is known that the striker wants to play regularly and earn a spot in the Spanish national team setup ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Which is why, for him, remaining on the fringes of Xabi Alonso’s squad is no longer an option.

Despite being one of the most promising graduates of Madrid’s academy, Garcia’s involvement with the first team has been limited to just 108 minutes across nine matches this season.

That figure has understandably caused frustration within his camp, particularly after the faith the club once placed in him following his breakthrough performance at the Club World Cup, where he finished as the top scorer.

He is not happy

Sources close to the player suggest that Garcia and his representatives feel he has been “misled” by the coaching staff, who promised a more prominent role after his success at FIFA Club World Cup.

Instead, he has found himself competing for scraps of playing time in an already crowded attacking department.

His current frustration contrasts sharply with the optimism that surrounded him only months ago.

Following his impressive performances on the world stage, Real Madrid extended his contract until 2030, signalling a belief in his long-term potential.

However, as the season has unfolded, Garcia, who has offers to leave, has struggled to find space in Alonso’s rotation, often being left on the bench in crucial fixtures.

Crucial time for Gonzalo Garcia

For the young forward, time is of the essence. At just 21 years of age, he knows that consistent minutes are vital for his development and visibility.

The lack of opportunities at Real Madrid could soon force him to seek a new environment where he can play a leading role.

Unless things change before the winter window opens, all signs point to Garcia leaving Real Madrid in January, determined to revive his career and secure the recognition he feels he deserves.
