Nottingham Forest Academy is delighted to announce Riko Robinson has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Robinson, who recently turned 17 and has been at the Forest Academy since joining the Foundation Phase at the age of nine, has agreed terms on a new deal to extend his stay on Trentside until June 2028.

The versatile midfielder has enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign, starting in every U18 Premier League game for Tom Mallinson’s team. Robinson has scored four times in his nine outings for the U18s this year, including a hat-trick against Liverpool.

The current campaign has also seen Robinson make his first B Team appearance, coming on as a substitute in our EFL Trophy game against Blackpool in October.

Head of Academy, Chris McGuane, said: “Full congratulations go to Riko on signing his first professional contract at the club. It is a fantastic achievement and one both him and his family should be very proud of.

“Riko joined as a young boy in our Foundation Phase, so it’s another great example of the opportunity that exists for local talent to progress within the academy. Riko is an exciting midfield player with excellent ability, and we wish him all the very best with his next steps in his development, both as a player and a young man.”
